About Windhoek Dog Club
Established in 1972, the Windhoek Dog Club has been a cornerstone of the local dog-loving community for over five decades. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking club, committed to keeping up with the latest in dog training methods while fostering a fun and supportive environment for both dogs and their owners.
At the Windhoek Dog Club, we believe that training should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for both you and your dog. Our training programs are designed for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, and we offer a range of activities to help strengthen the bond between you and your canine companion. Whether you’re teaching your puppy the basics, improving obedience, or exploring the excitement of agility training, we provide courses to help your dog grow and develop in a positive, engaging way.
We also offer opportunities to celebrate your dog’s progress at our shows, where local and South African judges assess performance. If you're not interested in competition, that's perfectly fine! Our programs focus on practical obedience and socialisation, ensuring your dog is well-behaved and comfortable in a variety of environments, including around people, other dogs, and children.
As a community, the Windhoek Dog Club is a place to meet other dog enthusiasts and share experiences. After each training session, members are welcome to unwind and socialise at our clubhouse, while dogs enjoy some time to play and interact.
Located on Avis Road, on your way to Avis Dam, the Windhoek Dog Club is here to help you and your dog build a lasting and positive relationship. Come and join us and discover how we can support you in your journey as a dog owner!
